This website and blog were created as part of an assignment for a college course. The expectation would be that we would blog five days a week during the course. Some of the topics would be predetermined and some would be our choice. Today's prompt is the question: how has frequent blog writing impacted you so far?

This has been good for me because I crave routine but it's difficult for me to implement routine and even more difficult to stick with it. Knowing I will be graded and having that grade be important to me has motivated me to write a blog post every weekday. That is one positive impact.

Another positive impact is all of the writing practice blogging has given me. In a previous class, I was required to download the free version of Grammarly, so every time I write it helps me realize how wordy I am. Having the yellow underline show up means I can be more concise. Since I'm not paying for Grammarly to show me how to change my sentences, I must figure out how to edit myself. I'm starting to remember the unnecessary phrases or words I use in hopes that the yellow line won't show up so much.

I have also enjoyed a positive impact from being required to write about things I wouldn't normally write about. It is good to learn and be stretched in new ways. This has had a positive impact.
