When creating videos a script is key to organizing a message that will be cohesive and prompt action. Though the word script may sound daunting, a script is simply the written text of any broadcast.

Something that commonly accompanies a script is a storyboard. A storyboard is a visual representation of how your script will unfold.

It's not necessary to create both but I would recommend it. Those involved in production may have different learning styles; a storyboard may communicate better with some and a script with others. The best practice is to have both available so you can succeed at getting your message across to those you work with and therefore to the audience at whom your message is aimed.
